Online Counselling
Online Counselling makes it possible for you to attend counselling without leaving the house! This is good for making it convenient without having to travel to your session but means that care needs to be taken to ensure your safety if you discuss something very emotional and it is important to make sure that you have a device and Internet connection that won’t cause difficulties with our communication.
When it was not possible to meet clients face to face during lockdown, I undertook comprehensive training to learn about the skills and safeguards needed for working with clients on video meeting platforms. I use a service called Doxy.me that is specially designed for online meetings where confidentiality is required.
Working online using video sessions has made it possible for me to help clients in all parts of the country and I have even worked with one client while they were away on a work assignment in Europe.
Video counselling might be particularly suitable for you if you can’t travel because of mobility problems or issues like agoraphobia. It can also be helpful if you would rather not travel and reduce the time your counselling takes up.
If you are interested in video counselling please contact me so we can discuss what you will need to be able to access sessions.
